• Our academically rigorous curriculum prepares our students for high school.
• Over 90% of our graduates currently enrolled at Amsterdam High School are on their honor roll
• Our accelerated and grade level math classes with NY State Regents Algebra l is offered in 8th Grade
• We have 100% pass rate on the Algebra l Regents
• NYS Regents level Science in 8th Grade, Living Environment, with over a 95% pass rate
• High school quality Science Lab
• Students who pass the Spanish l proficiency exam at the end of 8th grade are ready for Spanish ll in High School
• We have a 1:1 chromebook to student ratio
• Middle School electives include chorus, robotics, adventure club, movie club, and others!
• SMI has a National Junior Honor Society chapter
• Extracurriculars include Running club, Drama club, Judo, Snow Sports Club and Trout Club
• All students in grades 7 and 8 have the opportunity to try out for GASD modified sports
• Interscholastic sports offered are Soccer, Basketball and Running Club  /athletics
