The Kenneth and Thelma Lally Partnership in Catholic Education (Lally Fund) is a financial aid program for Grade 1-12 students that are enrolled in an Albany Diocesan Elementary or Secondary school and have completed the FACTS grant & aid online process.
Only completed applications (as designated by FACTS) are included in this financial aid allocation process. This form of financial aid is strictly based on family need. The award amount is $750. The deadline is April 1.
Notification: Round 1 recipients are determined in May for the following school year. A letter is sent to all of the families receiving aid in Round 1. The letter clearly states that receipt of the scholarship is predicated on the student being enrolled in the fall at one of the Albany Diocesan schools. Eligible families that did not receive aid in Round 1 are also notified by letter and the letter states that they are still eligible for aid if funds become available in the Fall.
Verification & Round 2: In late September or early October, all Round 1 recipients will be notified. If a Round 1 recipient selects not to attend, the funds are then allocated to the next neediest eligible applicant verified as enrolled in FACTS. The parent/guardian is sent a letter informing them of the financial aid awarded and the school is sent an e-mail with the final list of Lally recipients.
